About this artwork

The Voices series presents a set of ceramic busts that read the human portrait as a topography of memory. The Voices 13 explores the emotional dialogue between humanity and ancient memory. The figure is finished in weathered teal and bronze tones, its surface mottled like aged metal or an excavated artifact. A ceremonial crown rises from the head, bearing concentric rings that evoke tree growth, cosmic orbits, or the all-seeing eye. The work speaks… to layers of time and consciousness- identity as something accumulated, ritualized, and reaching beyond the self.
