About this artwork
This large-scale work is a striking example of abstract painting, created with acrylic paints on canvas. It is part of a series of works from 2004, when I was exploring the relationship between color, form and movement.
The image explores the tension and harmony between light and darkness, between energy and calm, between movement and stillness. Strong yellow, blue and black tones dominate the dripping, dynamic composition, while a subtle blue… background offers calm and contrast.
With its dynamic and invigorating energy, Veiled Currents challenges and inspires the viewer. It brings a strong presence to any room and is part of a series that explores the theme of abstraction in a variety of ways.
