About this artwork
Inspired by the works of Arnold Böcklin and Friedrich Nerly, I am deeply interested in the idea of gates and entrances and the potential they represent. What does a gate symbolize for the viewer—a threat, a promise? And what awaits on the other side? Starting with this premise, I developed the motif of a mysterious entrance.
