About this artwork
Sky and nothing else - that's what I painted here. There are only clouds with a little blue sky and a few sections of clouds illuminated by the sun. It was a pleasure for me to match these different colors and connect the areas with each other. The result is an airy and calm painting - painted in two layers of the finest oil paint. It is framed in a wooden shadow gap frame. The frame made of untreated linden wood goes perfectly with the indigo and…
blue tones of the painting.

« The process of color-sensitive, soft, slow painting contrasts with the speed and indifference of everyday life. I take part of my surroundings and make art out of it. »
The perception of Ulla Kutter's environment is shaped by the focus on disharmonious compositions and their aesthetics. The German painter portrays the broken, chaotic, and shining aspects of everyday life in the city. Through her images, she creates possibilities for different levels of perception. Kutter paints using the traditional techniques of old Dutch masters, using oils on canvas.
