About this artwork
When I saw this old advertisement on a sheet of enameled metal, with the design partly eroded by time, I thought of the torn posters of Mimmo Rotella, an artist I greatly admire.
I then intervened with the brown color on the left part of the image.
The work is from 2007, but was presented for the first time on the occasion of my personal CITAZIONI in 2022, as a tribute to Mimmo Rotella.
The support is framed between two sheets of plexiglass.

Valter Vari uses acrylics, enamels, and letterpress inks on canvas, fabric, paper, wood, metal, and recycled materials, drawing on his artistic and architectural training in Rome.
