About this artwork
The measurements and prices indicated refer to the individual elements that can compose the installation, depending on the site. These are recycled materials, used in marble quarries to detach large pieces of rock from the wall. Before use, each "cushion" appears as a flat metal "envelope" with a nozzle. After being inserted into the cuts made in the rock, it is inflated with air, expanding.
During a survey in a marble quarry, among these large… rusty iron objects waiting to be thrown away, I immediately saw "cushions" to be decorated.
The installation was exhibited at the four-person exhibition "Regina Viarum" at the Appia Antica Park in Rome, then at the group exhibition "Terra: reflections on the relationship between man and the environment" at the Villa di Massenzio in Rome, at my solo exhibition "Architettura e Arte" at Palazzo Rospigliosi in Zagarolo and at the three-person exhibition "+ Energia nuova" at the Civic Museum of Marino.
