About this artwork
The work was created in 2018, but presented to the public for the first time in my solo exhibition "Architecture and Art" in November 2025; the material parts that overlap the background were added for this occasion: I sensed that NOW, and in the stunning rooms of Palazzo Rospigliosi that hosted the exhibition, the canvas ASKS for something that, at the moment of its creation, "it had not asked for."
At the opening, more than one person asked me… what the name of the work alluded to... I actually couldn't explain it, but that's definitely its name!

Valter Vari uses acrylics, enamels, and letterpress inks on canvas, fabric, paper, wood, metal, and recycled materials, drawing on his artistic and architectural training in Rome. His techniques range from abstract-informal to minimalist spatial analysis, integrating formal stylizations and experimentation with different media. Each work invites the viewer to perceive new energy and profound harmony, initiating an emotional dialogue with the environment and the viewer.
