About this artwork
The work was presented at the three-person exhibition "Più energia nuova" at the Civic Museum of Marino (RM) in 2026.
The central part of the work consists of a fragment of an advertising poster for a peeled tomato company, glued to the canvas; the poster is an original from the 1960s; the rest of the canvas is colored in the intense red of this food, while the touches of yellow allude to the "golden" position of the tomato in Italian cuisine, and… Neapolitan cuisine par excellence (the gold of Naples, one might say).
