About this artwork
An original upcycling work made from a mosaic of colored aluminum squares, cut from cans collected here and there. These "pixels" are stapled onto CTBX panels, without adding paint.
Designed to be worn like a backpack, it allows for walking performances that delight the audience.
A 100x scale reproduction of the Junonia Rhadama endemic to Madagascar, it symbolizes the beauty and fragility of the inhabitants of our planet.

But it also evokes the necessary transformation of consumer society which, like the caterpillar that has gorged itself, must now metamorphose into a more sober but probably more beautiful society.
