About this artwork
In my work "Red I," I captured the power and tension of color and texture in an abstract 3D painting. On a black background, I applied layer upon layer of brilliant white filler, working with marble powder, soapstone, Baltic Sea sand, and coarse and fine texture paste.
A red, tapered strip of rough Baltic Sea sand divides the image, creating a striking contrast. Color accents in Naples yellow and black, as well as partial chrome lacquer surfaces,… lend the work depth, movement, and a fascinating vibrancy. For me, "Red I" is an expression of energy, dynamism, and artistic precision—a unique piece that enlivens spaces and draws all eyes.
