About this artwork
Gilded Fault is part of my Luminous Fractures series, which explores the idea that pressure, rupture, and vulnerability can become sites of quiet illumination rather than collapse. I’m drawn to moments where something appears broken on the surface but holds strength and beauty beneath.
This work was created through an intuitive acrylic pouring process, allowing gravity, fluid movement, and chance to guide the composition. Veins of deep green and… ochre move across the surface like geological fault lines, echoing formations shaped slowly by stress and time. The gold tones suggest value revealed through fracture, while darker passages speak to depth and containment.
I see this piece as a meditation on resilience — on how light does not always arrive loudly, but gathers within cracks, folds, and places of pressure.
I am an Australian multidisciplinary artist working across digital and physical mediums, drawing on a background in visual arts, applied arts, and professional makeup artistry. My practice is grounded in fluid, process-driven techniques—particularly resin and acrylic paint pouring—where I balance structure with spontaneity to create richly layered abstractions influenced by digital texture mapping and typography. Through texture, movement, and intuition, my work invites viewers into meditative spaces that explore vulnerability, memory, and transformation through quiet emotional resonance.
