About this artwork
I painted this gouache from life, capturing a quiet moment on a winter chairlift. From my seat, I looked down at my skis suspended above fresh snow as the lift moved slowly forward through frosted trees.
Working directly from observation, I focused on the feeling of gentle motion, cold air, and muted winter light. This painting reflects a brief pause between movement and stillness — the calm, intimate moment of being lifted through the winter landscape.

I am a Vienna-based artist originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Passionate about painting since childhood, I studied at the art school of the Teacher’s House in Kyiv. After a successful career as an economist and banker, I returned to my creative roots, working in watercolor, oil, and later acrylics.
Since moving to Austria in 2019, I have honed my skills through private lessons, courses at the Vienna Adult Education Centre (VHS), and online studies with Natalia Nosyk’s art school. My works have been exhibited and recognized in competitions. My art reflects a confident use of color, light, and composition, inspired by nature, seascapes, and still life.
