About this artwork
This painting is called Instrumental as it features 11 different musical "instruments" (whistles, rattles, etc.) from so called "primitive" cultures. This is a categorization I do not necessarily agree with! All cultures like to make art and music and that is dependent on cultural traditions and materials available. The piece features a tile patterned floor of my own design. a long black bird scarf and an extended purple handmade woven item from… Central America. I use my typical overhead POV with deep shadows and a movement rick composition. Framed this painting is 37" by 70 ". I have included a photo of it hanging in my home for your visualization. A strong painting with musical and cultural significance if it is hung in the proper spot!
