About this artwork

This 16" x 12" watercolor painting depicts a room with a gorgeous writers desk filled with interesting objects and books. It's walls are full of travel paintings. Immaculately designed by Sister Parish Design, it features bold colors and marvelous textures. You can feel the rhythm of textures and light in this gorgeous room!

I imagine that this is a writers room filled with paintings from their travels. The paintings on the walls are my own… including scenes from Maui, Marlborough, New Zealand, Rome, Monet's Garden and a garden picnic.

Painted on Arches, French-made all cotton watercolor paper with professional Rembrant watercolor paints and permanent ink.

Kristen is an interdisciplinary artist working in both oil and watercolor. Her joyful, colorful paintings are very popular with collectors! Kristen's oil paintings feature luxurious, thick strokes of paint which give added interest to the artwork. Subjects include garden landscapes, Giverny and European cityscapes as well as some interior scenes!

Kristen's watercolor paintings are intricate and detailed. They depict wildlife or cherished pets in interesting interior settings.
