This sculpture in iron and stone, part of the 'Samnites' series, is an ode to the grace and vitality of the ancient Italic people. The work depicts a young dancer, whose iron silhouette captures the essence of movement and lightness. The figure stands on a limestone, extracted directly from the place of origin of one of the ancient Samnite settlements. This choice is not accidental: the stone itself becomes a fragment of history, a base that roots… the work in time and in the territory that nourished this civilization. The natural veins and imperfections of the stone contrast with the linearity of the iron, creating a visual dialogue between the strength of the earth and the delicacy of the human form. The dancer, with her dynamic posture, evokes not only the art of dance, but also the spirit of a people who, despite their austerity, celebrated life and its expressions.
