About this artwork
Back in Time (ΔH) transforms a formula into a biography: childhood happiness − adult happiness = ΔH, always negative because emotional warmth dissipates as we grow older. Layers of blue resemble layers of memory; on the left, the Blue Cat emerges against the light, a witness to what is lost. An apple crosses the scene: its copper stalk is the only point of real warmth, a tiny resistance holding body and formula together. The work does not illustrate… physics: it uses it to measure the invisible. It is a journey back through emotional time. Neurodivergence is the lens: it records what escapes, amplifies differences, and refuses to equalize.
ThaBlueCat, a self-taught Italian visual artist, combines painting, sculpture and symbolic language in his art. He uses techniques such as expressive divisionism and the use of translucent materials such as blue PETG for his sculptures, often backlit to symbolize an internal consciousness. His works explore the autistic condition, symbolized through the figure of the Blue Cat, trying to express themes such as perception, isolation and acute sensitivity. Emotions of tension, attention, introspection and resistance pervade his work, a resistant art form that speaks to those who feel out of step with the world.
