About this artwork
This sculpture is the result of a challenge launched by a friend to the sculptor: to introduce a sheep's skull to one of his sculptures. This project took a long time in Achezegag and then one day the evidence was to invert the skull of the sheep and make it the abdomen of an individual. From then on, this body comes to life, its shoulders, its back .... And then, a few sheets added, to symbolize the toil, the task, the effort, the work, a theme…
often present in his works.

« These bodies in movement, some in pain, end with hieratic, expressive heads, taking on a universal dimension. In the end, it is through the repetition of the gesture that my doubts dissipate. »
