About this artwork
In my watercolor "Flight of the Cranes," I depict cranes in flight over a tranquil moorland. The serene rhythm of the water meets the power of flight. Moors and cranes are protected habitats and species; their preservation is of paramount importance to me and is consciously incorporated into my work.
Transparent layers of watercolor and an atmospheric, impressionistic visual language create a sense of vastness and freedom. This original watercolor… won first prize in the landscape category at the International Watercolor Exhibition in Bratislava. I painted it on the highest quality 300gsm cotton paper from the renowned brand Arches.
A work for collectors who appreciate contemporary landscape watercolors, nature art, and meaningful images. The work is discreetly framed in oak with a passe-partout, but is also available unframed upon request.

Annett Coumont is a contemporary German watercolor artist who lives and works near Cologne. A self-taught artist, she has developed a distinctive visual language that combines naturalistic observation with impressionistic light and a contemporary, biophilic aesthetic.
