About this artwork
This picture was taken on a clear day on the North Sea coast – seemingly simple: a sheep on a dike, under an endless sky.
And yet there is something in this moment that goes far beyond the idyll.
The sheep appears to be standing still – but the landscape around it is in motion. The greenery flows, the sky moves, and the wind is made visible.
It is as if the animal stops time for a moment – while the world itself cannot stand still.
In my series… “Motion Blur” I explore these transitions:
How perception shifts when movement is not frozen but consciously incorporated into the visual language.
The Husum sheep thus becomes the resting center of a world that is constantly changing.
