About this artwork
Sometimes the moment itself brings with it an energy that is too strong to capture in a classic shot.
This work was created early one morning as the sun rose in a clear arc from the horizon, transforming the sea into a liquid ribbon of light.
I didn't just want to capture the sunrise – I wanted to make the movement tangible, the powerful flow of light, the dynamics of the beginning of the day.
Deliberate motion blur created an image that doesn't… freeze the moment, but dissolves it and continues to spin it out – like a memory that grows in all directions.
This work is part of my series “Motion Blur,” in which I capture the speed and instability of our time in images:
not in razor-sharp details, but in flow, in becoming, in transition.
It is an invitation to understand light not as a moment, but as movement – and to find yourself in it.
