I set out to create a bold, expressive painting that captures the strength and presence of a charging bull set against warm, earthy tones. Rich browns, reds, and golds create both intensity and atmosphere, giving the piece a sense of heat, movement, and raw momentum. The bull stands as a symbol of freedom, endurance, and the untamed spirit of nature.

Barry Sears is primarily a painter working with oils and mixed media. He returned to his artistic journey in 2022 whilst winding down his former career in Finance. He received his formal training at the Milan Art Institute. His process is deeply experimental, building vibrant imagery from chaotic beginnings and favouring striking, non-traditional colour palettes over realism. His layered techniques create depth and intrigue, while his work conveys a sense of inspired transformation, finding beauty and order within expressive bursts of colour and the ever-shifting play of light and shade.
