About this artwork
Lingering Between Colors is a work that explores a state of becoming. Rather than
presenting a readily recognizable image, the composition constructs a visual field
situated between formation and incompletion through the accumulation of granular,
point-like marks. Here, color does not function as a stable visual unit, but as a
provisional state—one that remains open to transformation.
The repeated layering of points generates a surface that is never… fully closed.
Although certain zones appear delineated, their boundaries remain porous and
unstable, revealing the temporary and uncertain nature of visual construction. By
refusing clear contours and a centralized structure, the work resists immediate
spatial orientation, compelling the viewer’s gaze to drift, hesitate, and remain
within an in-between condition.
The diagonal composition suggests an ongoing process of transition. The tension
between warm and cool tones operates not merely as chromatic contrast,......
