About this artwork
This image is the second in the Touched series. The series explores alienation from myself, through brokenness and pain, to self-discovery and freedom.
In this moment, contact occurs—not from outside, but from within. The veil between world and soul becomes permeable, a breath opens. The image depicts the moment in which a person first senses that they not only exist, but live. A sigh of relief, an acceptance, an arrival within one's own inner self—fragile… and powerful at the same time.
