About this artwork
When I carved these vertical bands into wood, I was thinking about how we perceive infinity through fragments - the way telescopes slice starlight into data, how consciousness organizes cosmic vastness into comprehensible rhythms. Working with wood print as foundation and enhancing with ink and acrylic, I create a portal-like image where vertical striations of varying widths radiate from a luminous center.
