About this artwork
In Cosmic Tamer, I dive into a realm where imagination overrules gravity and the impossible becomes visual truth. Set against a vibrant cosmic sky of nebulas and drifting stardust, a crimson dragon cuts through space with raw, mythic force. Instead of riding it, the astronaut clings to the creature’s reins, being pulled through the void — a metaphor for how we, too, are often dragged toward the unknown, trying to hold on as wonder and fear collide.…
In the astronaut’s reflective visor, three additional red dragons appear, hinting at a larger mythology beyond the frame and inviting viewers to imagine what cannot be seen.
I built the painting with an acrylic foundation for movement and texture, then layered rich oil details to heighten depth, luminosity, and contrast. The result blends pop-art clarity with an epic, surreal atmosphere.
Cosmic Tamer is my tribute to curiosity, courage, and the untamed power of fantasy — a journey into the beautifully unpredictable.
