About this artwork
The background of this triptych is a 3-part canvas photograph with a world map printed on it. This is still visible in the background in the upper part. Pages from the SÜDDEUTSCHE newspaper were pasted over part of the surface and I used fine embroidery with dancing figures.
Everything has been sealed with acrylic binder to protect and integrate these materials.
My inspiration was current world events and a flood of related news.
I countered this… with an OTHER, existing reality: cohesion, joie de vivre, dance, liveliness and joyful colors such as turquoise, pink, orange, blue, white and gold, in dialogue with darker lines and surfaces.
A positive and liberating message emanates from this work!
The individual pictures can be hung together or separately.

There are eyelets on the back so that the pictures can be hung up immediately.
Eva Dahn Rubin is an artist living in Germany and Italy, whose paintings have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
She describes her artistic work as an "emotional and exciting process" that constantly allows her to grow beyond her own concepts.
Through the joyful intensity of their creation, her works become powerful objects. Influenced by music and dance, many of her compositions are characterized by the rhythm and movement of lines, forms, and colors. They inspire viewers to see the hidden and discover the new.
Her multifaceted and vibrant works are created using acrylic, tempera, collage and ink on canvas, paper or found materials.
