About this artwork
The background of this picture is a 4-piece canvas photograph with yellow spirals on a blue background. This tempted me to paint over it with a variety of lines, while the patterns of the photograph are still partially visible.
Each of the four works has a different color scheme and its own rhythm.
I used bright colors such as turquoise, pink, blue, magenta, yellow and gold in dialogue with darker lines and surfaces.
This created a streaming intensity…
The overall impression of the work is powerful and calm. But there are many subtle details that invite you to take a closer look.
The works can be hung together or separately. Vertical hanging or arrangement is also possible!
