About this artwork
Here I take inspiration from the photo of Ellen Von Unwerth, elaborated by me, an aggressive face illuminated by a weak candle light resting on a book to imply human knowledge questioned by a mashera.
We hide behind our image, we use a mask to deceive, not only that, wearing a mask also means overcoming fear, estranging… oneself from the real world, hiding and revealing oneself. The search for one's own identity, which pushes one to true self-knowledge.
Cultural messages and symbols, to make you think. The conflict between being and appearing exemplified by the object of the mask. Authentic work made by me in a single copy.

« A labyrinth of real and surreal subjects where seduction is the red thread that binds and the dream is the cosmic space in which to take refuge and live. »
