THE WAIT - From “The Counsel of Revenge” by F. Hayez (1791-1882).
In this work, I took F. Hayez's "The Counsel of Vengeance" as a reference, launching a project I care deeply about: "bringing the ancient masters into dialogue with mass culture," combining "Pop Strategies and Inspirations" with the art of the past. I portray women both in their seductive power and in their most intimate fragility. The moon, the quintessential maternal female archetype.… The "lunar feminine" is mysterious and ambiguous, with the power to see beyond, to illuminate the shadowy areas of the soul. Printing on the back of a plexiglass sheet gives the image exceptional transparency, resistance, durability, elegance, and originality. The colors are bright and clean, enhanced by the transparency of the material, giving the work a high-quality, professional appearance. A painting on acrylic glass resembles an art gallery exhibit.

Ezio Ranaldi, is an artist born in Canosa di Puglia, in the Province of Bari, on May 23, 1948, where he lives and works. He has held many solo and group exhibitions in various cities, including Tarquinia, at the Etruscopolis Museum, in Ferrara at the Estense Castle, in Cannes in France, in Norwich in Great Britain, in Paris, in Bari, and in many other Italian locations. He has participated in various International Biennials including Rome, Florence, Ferrara, Lecce, Verona. Present in various Modern and Contemporary Art Fairs, including Padova Arte, ExpoArte in Bari, Artisti in Mostra in Parma, Artexpo in New York, Arte Salerno. Numerous prizes and awards. His works appear in public and private collections, as well as being published several times in catalogs and contemporary art magazines. Valuable critics have expressed themselves regarding his work.
