About this artwork
I wanted to embody the union of nature and the sacred as a celebration of the vine and wine. The vine is not only a plant, but a source of mystery and communion. The work transposes the making of wine into a visual choreography, where the bounty of the earth meets the celebration of men. It resonates like an offering to Bacchus, god of intoxication and fertility, reminding us that wine is at once nourishment, pleasure, and transcendence. I sought…
to create a whole that would give the impression of a sacred ritual: the passage from fruit to drink, from earthly matter to divine substance. Each drop, each circle, seems to participate in this alchemy of transformation.
