About this artwork
I envisioned Gaia as an ocean goddess, half-woman, half-fish, and the matrix of all life forms, at the junction of the elements (water, earth, fire, sky). The kelp forest, which here represents the symbol of fertility and marine life, is Gaia's anchor. The stars evoke the harmony between heaven and earth. spirals, my favorite themes, are the language of vital energy, cosmic cycles, vibrations that connect all beings. The dominant deep and luminous blues, oscillating between oil and acrylic, give a beautiful depth.
