About this artwork
I wanted to inscribe "The Seeds of Life" in a universal symbolism: the spiral as a motif of transformation, continuity and infinity that simultaneously evokes the imaginary of genesis (seeds, cells) and that of the cosmos (galaxies, expanding universe). The circles and ovoid shapes overlap and intertwine to give a rich texture and a visual dynamic in perpetual movement. As for the chromatic palette of warm tones, balanced by cold nuances, I tried… to create an energetic contrast where each spiral seems to come alive, evoking at the same time cosmic expansion, the cycles of nature and cellular growth.
Beyond abstraction, the seeds of the sky suggest a matrix universe: each form becomes a cell, a seed, a star, or a galaxy, recalling the continuity between microcosm and macrocosm. My goal was for the gaze to lose itself in this infinite dance, where birth and transformation seem eternally replayed.
FLOD, a French painter and sculptor based in Spain, works mainly in painting using dot art, spirals and gold; she draws on a self-taught background and studies at the Beaux-Arts in Avignon. Her technique lies between the abstract and the figurative, she gives herself entirely to this indefinite sphere which requires both poetry and mastery of technique. She favors a symbolic, unreal and poetic approach; each work, singular, honors the magic of colors and the generosity of the material. She infuses her art with dreams, escape, and a vibrant joy, deeply touching the soul of the spectator.
