About this artwork
This work was born from the observation of a garden landscape where vegetation, flowers and their reflections mingle on the surface of the water.
I was particularly interested in the contrasts between the masses of vegetation, the touches of color, and the calmer areas of the reflection. The reds and oranges of the flowers punctuate the greens and blues of the landscape, while the water blurs and gradually transforms the forms.
Through this work,… I am less concerned with faithfully reproducing a place than with conveying what one perceives when taking the time to observe it: a succession of colors, textures, transparencies and movements.
