About this artwork
She is not a quiet painting. She was never meant to be. But her energy does not come from loudness. It comes from certainty. There is a difference, and she knows it.
The woman in Be Forever Free is not performing freedom. She is not reaching for it or working toward it. She has simply remembered that it was always hers. That is the shift this painting is built around. Not the dramatic moment of breaking free, but the quieter, more permanent moment… of recognising that you were never as bound as you thought.
She belongs to the Limitless Women universe as the identity of the woman who refuses to keep shrinking herself to fit inside spaces that were not designed for her. The parrot resting against her heart is not decorative. It is her voice, her colour, the part of her that has never been willing to disappear.
This is for the collector who knows what it feels like to come back to herself.
Geethu Chandramohan is a contemporary mixed-media portrait artist and aerospace engineer based in Hertfordshire, UK. Her work explores the many identities women carry through a single life. Working with layered acrylics, oils, spray paint, and textured mediums, she builds surfaces where structural precision meets expressive freedom. Her block-like colour planes reflect her engineering background, while flowing marks and vibrant colour represent the intuitive world of painting. Many of her portraits feature closed eyes, a signature motif signalling inward reflection rather than outward performance. All her work lives within the Limitless Women universe, exploring womanhood through five emotional pillars: becoming, inner strength, freedom, creation, and radiance. Her paintings speak to collectors drawn to art with emotional depth and a visual language they will not find anywhere else.
