The golds that move through the surface carry the warmth of a sunrise after a long stretch of overcast days. The blues open outward like air, like the feeling of standing somewhere high and realising the sky is larger… than you had been letting yourself believe. Her eyes are closed, not in fear, but in trust. In the active decision to lift her face to whatever is coming.

Geethu Chandramohan is a contemporary mixed-media portrait artist and aerospace engineer based in Hertfordshire, UK. Her work explores the many identities women carry through a single life.
