About this artwork
Although from a distance this little 12" x 12" abstract painting has the power to pull you in, the quiet details are extremely gentle. The artist imagines the magical time when the moonlight is bright and everything is still. The idea of moon in the title is meant to evoke the very image of silence. The artist is known for her process of building up layers, then sanding back to reveal the history of the work - if you look closely, you'll see evidence…
of layers and marks beneath the surface. Another mark of this artist is her deliberate decisions about what she wants you to notice, where she wants your eye to travel. You won't see any brush strokes because she views them as a distraction. Her work is bold, yet sensitive. She is collected world wide for her keen understanding of design and her unique execution. A 'highly collectable' artist, Isabelle's work is in the homes and offices of private collectors in Canada, Europe, China, South America and across the United States. Isabelle's work has also been seen in the art magazine American Art Collectors, she was the first ever abstract artist interviewed on the renowned PodCast the American Art Collective, and her work has been seen a host of Conde Nast magazines, including Vanity Fair, and World of Interiors.
