About this artwork
Covid presented all of us with opportunities for deep reflection and a need to somehow find balance in extraordinary times. That's what the artist was feeling when she created these two pieces "Looking In" and "Finding Balance". The attached detail photos show a figure in "Looking In" watching the world from afar, seeing hwo different people and even countries were finding ways to join together. In "Finding Balance" you'll see four different figures…
walking tightropes, gently and tentatively finding their way. Each piece is created on a 12" x 12" wood panel using multiple layers of acrylic paint, scraped and sanded to reveal the complexity of the times (see detail photos). The cubes are painted with some collage work. The figures are drawn in black ink. Each is framed in a natural maple wood floating frame (detail photos show the frame and mounting). with the frame, each measures 13" x 13". There is a thin layer of polished cold wax covering the surface to minimize glare.

She has been invited to show her work in 2025 for the forth consecutive year in the highly prestigious juried art show, the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts. Isabelle's work has also been seen in the art magazine American Art Collectors, she was the first ever abstract artist interviewed on the renowned PodCast the American Art Collective, and her work has been seen a host of Conde Nast magazines, including Vanity Fair, and World of Interiors.
