In the work I represent the Sorolla Museum in Madrid (Spain). This is what was the house of the Spanish painter Joaquín Sorolla, where the decoration that the artist had during his life is preserved. The main entrance of the house is captured on the canvas, flanked by the vegetables and the delicate flowering of the garden.
The painting arises from "au plein air" sketches and photographs taken in situ, to create the work in the studio. The idea… was to capture the harmony and tranquility that this place transmits, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in its beauty and serenity.
Oil on Velázquez linen canvas (100% linen) and wooden frame, with mounting and handmade covering.
Framed with American wooden box, 53 x 53 x 4 cm natural color.
