In this picture I explore the raw and magnificent textures of an icy landscape. The deep crevice cutting through the textured ice suggests nature’s power and the persistent force of transformation. Capturing this fleeting moment in photography, I invite viewers to feel the dynamic energy of Earth.
It was captured on Sólheimajökull glacier in Iceland. It is part of Myrdalsjökull, one of the bigest glacier formations in Iceland.

Icelandic painter Jelena Antic's work has been exhibited throughout Serbia, Iceland, and the United States. Antic works in acrylic and sometimes spray paint to create series inspired by subjects ranging from the Icelandic glacial rivers to metaphysics. Antic paints very quickly, so she often works in diptychs so she can continue working on the same idea while the paint of the first work dries. Antic's works are bright, conceptual, and often involve abstract patterns.
