About this artwork
When creating "Blue Trees ", I liked the simplicity of the tree shapes on the blue ground. The alcohol wash gives the trees a sense of movement like they are doing a rhythmic dance. Everything in nature has energetic movement flowing through it, even when it seems passive.
This was Day 28 of #abstractartfor40dayschallenge from 2021 during the pandemic. I used the challenge as a way to experiment with pastels, using an alcohol wash on 400 grit sanded… Uart paper. It is size 9"x12", unframed.
