About this artwork
"Tree Scream no.3", the third part of the miniseries using PanPastels with alcohol wash on Colourfix paper this time. I wanted to compare how the medium changed using a different paper with the same subject.
This mini collection is partly to pay homage to one of my favorite artists (Edvard Munch), but i is also a reminder to pay more attention to the things we all can easily pass by, such as decaying and fallen trees. Conservation issues and climate… change are an imperative universal concern right now. So if you get the chance to take a walk, slow down for a minute or so and notice the trees. Really notice them. They say a lot without speaking.
