About this artwork
This sculpture was a result of contemplation and study of the large stone I ordered from my suppler in Utah. It is now getting harder to get this particular stone because the vein it came from is running short. Since the stone only comes in thicknesses of 6-8 inches when quarried it has limitations of creativity. As I began to carve it I wanted to bring out it’s deep orange color and contrast with different textures and primitive forms. Thus Primitive…
