JUST COMPLETED AND DRYING-SHIPS LATE APRIL/EARLY MAY 2024
Well, let the evolution of my figures continue with this very impasto, colorful figurative abstraction that remains within the same genre as my other nature based figurative works. However, these are a bit more freeing with the aggressive application of paint. I could literally experienced a huge endorphin release with every application of paint.
The brilliant color fields collide with… the thick, action-esque applications of oil while the implied linear elements concentrate the eye away form the abstraction to instead offer a sense of both humanity and nature.
