About this artwork
It is summer: the magnificent poppies shine in the heat of the sun. In red, the colour of love. The colour nuances are as complex as the different views.
The deep black of the pistils and stamens enhances the delicacy of the petals. Contrast and connection in equal measure, because the dancing couple is depicted exclusively graphically.
We swing along with the turns of the dance - just like the poppy blossoms in a semicircle. The whirling is so… captivating that the long hair flies and is woven into the blossoms on the right.
The joy, even bliss, of young love is reflected in the happy smile of the young girl.
She is completely surrendered to the magic of this moment...
