On the observation deck of the Empire State Building, I waited until day turned into night and the city was bathed for a few minutes in that deep, almost unreal blue that only this brief moment between sunset and darkness produces.
What fascinates me about this hour is the balance: the sky still has depth, the windows of the skyscrapers begin to glow, the streets draw their warm lines through the grid of the avenues. In this light, Manhattan reveals… itself not as a postcard, but as a living organism – breathing, pulsating, full of stories.
I deliberately avoided any dramatic gestures. No starbursts, no extreme exposure. Just the calm composition of height, depth, and light. For me, this image is a quiet homage to a city that never stands still – and to that moment when it, too, pauses briefly.
