About this artwork
I love foggy early mornings in Venice. Here the gondolas are bobbing in the water close to the edge of the famous St Mark's square which every visitor knows. The movement of the gondolas results in an attractive blurred effect. The pallor of the subjects is due to the fog and deliberate over-exposure to add to the ghostliness.
