With “Système K,” I perform an act of radical appropriation: I divert the poster of Renaud Barret’s film, merge it with scraps of posters torn down in the streets of Paris, to compose a hybrid, visceral work. My gesture is: raw, spontaneous, undisciplined. I lacerate, superimpose, scarify the surface until a controlled chaos springs forth, a mirror of the urban energy of Kinshasa. Here, art tears itself away from conformity, it explodes in urgency,… recovery, resourcefulness: each fragment bears the trace of a struggle, a dream, a resistance. I use acrylic, collage, and ink to orchestrate the tension between chaos and order, between breaking and building. The torn textures, the colors, the wild stratification: everything claims the LARTBATARD spirit, where art is born from friction, collision, the unexpected. The MadeReady_paperink “System K” is a visual manifesto: it energizes the space, questions the viewer, and invites us to rethink the role of art.
I created LARTBATARD, a form of artcycling born from urban collage, to offer contemporary art lovers images that resist simple “scrolling” and invite them to look differently. Using torn posters, printing inks and gestural painting, I develop six families of MadeReady (PhotosReadyMade, MadeReady_Paper, MadeReady_#Paper, MadeReady_Ink#artRevues, MadeReady_PaperInk and MadeReady_DrawInk) which replay the signs of our time and reveal its tensions. My series question identity, the body, migration and the memory of struggles, in a world saturated with images where every face seems replaceable. My works have circulated in galleries, in residences and online, in France and internationally; each piece functions for me as an archaeology of the present, a fragment of humanity to collect before it disappears.
