About this artwork
After photographing the sunset from inside the cave the evening before, I returned the next day to experience this remarkable place once more. Hidden within a rock island in the middle of the ocean, it felt both secluded and timeless.
You could step directly from the water onto a sandy bank tucked inside the cave itself — an unexpected sanctuary carved by nature. Standing there, I couldn’t help but imagine it as an old pirate hideaway. The atmosphere,… the textures, and the filtered light combined to create an image rich with mystery and quiet beauty.
