About this artwork
This remarkable cave in the Exumas is well known as a filming location for the 1964 James Bond movie "Thunderball". Because of its fame, creating something truly distinctive here was especially important to me.
Once inside, patience became everything. I waited for the precise moment when shafts of light pierced through the openings above, illuminating the darkness and revealing detail both above and below the water’s surface. For an instant, shadow… and light worked together to transform a familiar place into something uniquely beautiful.
