About this artwork
The background, black at night, has been covered with the signs of an imaginary writing. On this background and these signs run lines, traces, like passages, like flights, which telescope or mingle. The writing and the traces which partially cover it are in shades of brown ochre, with golden reflections. The surfaces have been scratched, textured, brushed, which further reinforces the presence.
There is no desire to please or seduce, no calculation,… no premeditation: only the rhythm and the emotions that were running through me at that precise moment, the movement and the trace of spontaneous, impulsive gestures.
This is what gives this canvas all its authenticity, and this movement that runs through it. A canvas that vibrates and "turns", attracting attention and imagination.
